Family Friday's

Hi Everybody!
I had hinted about this a couple of weeks ago on my FB page, and I am now happy announce that Friday's will be Family Friday @ Crazy About Cricut!  I have 4 kids, and don't always get the time I need/want to craft.  And sometimes life just gets sooooooooo busy!  Family time to me is spending time with the kids. So every Friday I will have a project for a kid, by a kid, or with a kid.  I'm excited to combine the two things in my life that I am most passionate about!  I would love for you all to join me and post your projects.  If we have 1 to 10 projects posted, then those 10 will each get a special thank you from me.  If we get more than 10, we will have a drawing for a prize instead!  The deadline will be the following Thursday.  No matter what the result, I hope everyone marks that day on the calendar so we all make sure we get to spend that quality crafting/family time.  Ok, enough babbling, on to the first project!

Pre-made notebooks are a great project to do with kids.  I found these at Michaels for $1!  What kid doesn't like to have a notebook to draw in, or make as their own little journal?  My 6 year old decorated this notebook using the butterfly from New Arrival, some Stickles, and Peachy Keen stamps.

She added color to the cheeks with Stampin' Up chalks :)

My 7 year old designed this cover using the Paisley cartridge, Stickles, Zig markers, and Peachy Keen stamps.

She colored the cheeks with chalks too:)

That's it!  The cuts from these carts were easy to layer, something you need to consider when putting your projects together.  Thanks so much for joining me on Family Friday and I look forward to seeing all of your creations!

To Cover or Not to Cover?

Hi Everybody!
I posted the question on my FB page of "Do you cover your bug, or do you let it run wild and free?".  Most people covered their bugs, but some who covered it said the cover ended up next to their bug since they used their bug so much!  So I thought I would show what I use to cover mine.  I bought this ladybug vinyl cover on ebay over a year ago, and I love it.  This was before I thought of covering my bug with vinyl.  Thanks for looking, and hope everyone has a chance to craft today :o)

Forgotten Father's Day Card

Hi Everybody!
I found these pictures of the card I made for my husband for Father's Day that I totally forgot to post!  It was a while ago, so I don't remember the sizes of  all the little pieces.  I do know I cut the card base @ 5 1/2".  I used 6 different carts, so I was glad to have my Gypsy!  Here are all the carts I used:

*Wild Card (base, and sentiment)
*Paper Dolls (tools)
*Everyday Paper Dolls (bbq)
*Cars (Mater the tow truck)
*Camp Out (tent, and fish)
*Big Rig and flags - I can't remember!!
*I inked the edges to give an extra layer to the front.

I used my Sakura white gel pen to draw the lines on Mater. I did not want to have to do the layers on a cut that small!!

I outlined all the cuts using the Cricut Markers. I love the effect this gives the cuts!

I thought this tire track paper with the foil in it was the perfect paper for this card :)

Hopefully this helps show some ideas for masculine cards. Thanks, and hope everyone has a chance to craft today!

Kids Krafts Krafty Kreations

Hi Everybody!
Crazyaboutcricut is my mom.  I love to craft with my mom.  Here is a project we made together.

Here is the inside:

Here is the back:

It's Me again.  Isn't this the cutest!  One day we took my Cricut out onto the table in the backyard, and made some projects. She's 7 years old, so I thought the Create a Critter would be a cart she could layer herself.  She did a great job!  I love that my daughter is as crazy about crafting as I am, and is just as crazy about cricut as her mom!  (She actually wants to have a Cricut birthday, with the Cricut head and everything!)  I hope everyone had a chance to craft today, especially if you have a kid to craft with!

Just a Thanks and Receivers of Blog Awards

Hi Everybody,
OK, so, I'm hoping that all of you know how genuinely thankful I am to have so many new followers and people that like my projects.  I'm a stay at home mom of a 7, 6, 2 year old, and 5 month old, and sometimes its hard to feel like our world is anything over 3 feet tall!  I adore my family, though, and am thankful to be home with them and be there to take the pictures that I EVENTUALLY will scrapbook (I keep telling myself, and my husband that or I can't justify buying any more supplies!!).  So now, enough with the mushy stuff.  To thank all of you, please enter your blog link in this post. I would love to see who all is following me, and this way we will all be able to share with each other.  I look forward to seeing all of your creations.  Speaking of sharing, I recently received two blog awards. I then was supposed to pass the awards on to 10-12 blogs.  Some of them I picked because they are fairly new, and I really liked the way they are starting out. All of them I picked because I gain inspiration from them one way or another.  Thanks to all of you :)  Ladies and gentlemen, please pick up your blog awards, display them on your blog, and then pass them on to 10-12 of your favorite bloggers.

Picnic Blog Hop

Hi Everybody!

Welcome to our Picnic Blog hop :) It's my first one, and I am SOOOOO excited!!  Hopefully you came from Paper Crafts by Candace , which took you here! I'm the last stop on the hop, so make sure you left a comment on all of the other blogs in the hop. If you did, you will be entered to win a SUPER cool prize provided by Memory Miser. For this hop, I decided to make a little game set that would be perfect to take along on a picnic and relax and play with your family. On one side you can play tic-tac-toe, which is perfect for any age, but also good for the little ones. For the older ones, you can flip the game board over, and play connect three! (It is connect three because of the size of the board. Connect three is more fun in this size!) The pieces are ants and watermelon (since ants seem to love watermelon!).  One of my favorite parts about this project is that is uses a cricut cartridge box.  I save mine, because they seem like they could be so useful.  So it was perfect for this.

BLOG CANDY ALERT!!

Before you hop out of here, check out what I am giving away:

A Martha Stewart accordian photo album, Magic Scraps slide mounts, and My Minds Eye kitty title rub-on.

For a chance to win this, all you have to do is leave a comment (with a way to get a hold of you if you win), and become a follower!  I'll use Random.org, and announce the winner on Monday.  Hope you enjoy my project! Be sure to head on over to pinkcricut and make sure you entered for the SUPER prize!  Thank you, and hope everyone had a chance to craft today!!
