Inking It Up Crazy Fall Design Team - Final Project & FINALLY a Gabby Abby Challenge!

Hi Everybody!
Well, today is a happy and sad day.  It's sad because this is my last DT project for Kassidy over at Inking It Up Crazy.  It has been SO fun being on her Fall Design Team.  I can't wait to see what her Winter Design Team will be creating!!  But it is a happy day, because I am so happy to show you the project I made!  I decided to make a Christmas decoration with a bit of a twist.  And since the challenge this week over at the Gabby Abby challenge is anything Christmas, I decided to also enter this for that challenge.  Gotta love that multi-tasking!!  Here's what I came up with:

Isn't he sooooooooo cute?!?!  Here are the written details:

*When It's Cold Outside (seasonal cart from last year)
*cut 3D snowflake @ 6"
*Grafix Clear Craft Plastic (I got mine at Michaels, and you can use the coupon!  They also used to have 12" x 12" size, and 8 1/2" x 11", but I didn't see the smaller size last time.)
*silver Stickles
*StazOn Jet Black Ink
*Peachy Keen Stamps - Everyday Assortment
*regular blade - depth = 6, pressure = max, speed = 4 or 5

************

So there you go, I hope you like it!  I will be making a bunch of these to hang all over my house.  These are a perfect low-budget, quick, but pretty way to get my house in the holiday mood!  Don't forget to check out all the things Kassidy has going on over at Inking It Up Crazy :O)

I usually don't go shopping on black Friday, but only because it's toward the end of the month when my budget has already come and gone!  And of course it kinda bums me out on all the things I'm missing out on.  But this year I honestly have a different feeling about it.  I have such an amazing family, and have had to adjust to some ups and downs this year with the economy like so many others.  But I for sure think it's a silver lining that I have learned how to appreciate the things I have, and how to do more with less.  And I have made some special friends through Facebook that are SO excited when they find bargains (a couple of them I mention in my video), that I get excited with them, and can't wait to see what they create with their finds!!  Ok, so let's put away the tissues from my sappy speech, and get to the projects!!  And also, let me apologize for my video.  I was making this late at night, and totally planned to make another one (since I wasn't that crazy about this one), but ran out of time!  So I'm really sorry for 1-it lagging in some places, 2-how many times I said Umm, and 3-how long it takes for me to put those jewels on at the end!!  But enjoy it anyway :P

Piggy Bank Receipe

*Wild Card cartridge
*Smiley cartridge
*formula can
*2 pieces of green paper @ 5" x 12' each
*gold Stickles, and green Stickles
*cold hard cash cut @ 3 1/2"
*moneybag cut @ 3"

Happy Shopping Card Receipe

*Wild Card cartridge
*blue card base from stash
*green glitter paper = DCWV mat stack
*green glitter mat cut @ 4 1/8" x 4 1/2"
*piggy bank cut @ 4"
*phrase cut @ 2.5"

Cricut Cardz Challenge #52

Hi Everybody!

It's time for another great challenge over at Cricut Cardz Challenge! This time we were to make a card for Christmas, Just Words from your Cricut-No image-any colors and cartridge. There were SO MANY beautiful and cute words to use, I just couldn't decide.  So I decided to go a little simple.  I decided to use Designers Calendar.  So here's what I came up with for this challenge:

*Designer's Calendar  = Christmas sentiment
*kraft cardstock = Joann's brand
*DCWV = glitter mat
*paper used for sentiment from stash
*bling and ribbon from stash
*background stamp from Stampin' Up!
*Versamark

Ok, so it still looked like it was missing something, so I attacked this card with my white gel pen!  I liked it better with the stitching :O)

It's hard to see in the picture, but this background stamps was really pretty, and was filled with great holiday words.

So there you go!  TFL, and don't forget to show us what amazingly beautiful projects you come up with over at the Cricut Cardz Challenge!

Family Friday

Hi Everybody!
Yaaaaaaay!  It's time for another Family Friday! Today the designers are going to show how they incorporated a handprint into their projects.  Please click on the designers name to head on over to their blogs for all the details on their projects. Since this is a family oriented design team, sometimes the designers get busy with their families and can't quite get their projects done on their regular week.  So if you see some projects that aren't the theme for the week, the designer is just making up their project.  Thanks you guys for doing another amazing job this week :O)

During the holidays, we spend more time with our families, but that doesn't always mean a crafty project gets made.  So I didn't get to make a new project with my kids this time, but here is the project I had posted for last weeks Family Friday using all my kids' handprints:

30 Days of Gift Making, Day 18

Hi Everybody!
Welcome to the 30 Days of Gift Making. It's one blog a day for 30 Days of Gift making Ideas and projects! Every day has a new blog, and a new awsome gift idea. Yesterday, hopefully you visited Theresa over at The Scrapbooking Queen.  Wasn't her lighted basket gorgeous?!?!  For my project, I am giving the gift of time!  Well, ok, not exactly, but at least how to keep track of time :O)  This is a quick, simple, and easy project, but you can make it look like it took hours!!  I decorated this clock with the cute Elmo face (@ 3" using the Sesame Street Font Cart)  for my little one's bedroom.  I got the clock at IKEA for around $5, and that was all I had to spend.  You could also change the numbers, but since this was for younger kids, I left them alone.  This can be adapted for any theme, and any age.  I plan to make one with a cute snowman face in the middle to help decorate my house for the holidays!  Don't forget to head on over to Candace at PaperCrafts by Candace and check out her amazing project.  TFL, and hope you like it!

Look What I Got!

Hi Everybody,
Look what I got!!!

Jennifer N Nate VanPelt (on Facebook) from My Mental Instability and Debbie over DD's Crafts both awarded me with a My Blog has Attitude Award!!  Thank you both SOOOOOOO much for honoring me with this.  Jennifer's blog is SO much fun, and has fantastic projects! And I have had so much fun watching Debbie's blog grow, and grow, and love all the awsome inspiration she gives!  And I still get such a thrill from people enjoying my blog, and that they like it, they really like it!! LOL  Ok, so when I got this award, I have to list three things that are different about me that make me different from everyone else:

1. I'm honest, not brutally honest, but I think it just takes too much energy to remember a story I made up to cover up the lie!

2. I am the WORST liar ever!  I do my best to be nice, though.  Like if someone asks "How do I look?"  I'll say something like, maybe a different shirt would look better.................

3. I really love being a Stay-at-Home-Mom.  I definitely don't think this life is for everybody, and I definitely want to run out of the house screaming sometimes.  But then I just need some alone crafting time, and talk to my blogger and Facebook friends for a while, and all is right with the world!!

Ok, and now on to the 5 blogs that I HAPPILY get to pass this award to:

1.  http://pausedreamenjoy.blogspot.com/  - Janis has a GREAT personality that really comes through her blog, and has AMAZING projects!!  I did a hop with her not long ago, and she was so fun to work with, and was cracking me up on the Facebook message thread we had going!

2.  http://www.scrappinwithmybug.com/ - Michelle is my commenting QUEEN.  She always leaves me comments on my blog, cracks me up on Facebook, and is an awsome friend :O)

3.  http://cricutlove1.blogspot.com/ - I was already familiar with Erika's blog before, but I got to know her better when she became a part of my Family Friday design team.  She is a GREAT person, with a great blog!

4.  http://www.love4stamps.blogspot.com/ - I also have gotten to know Raven more as part of my Family Friday DT.  She has some BEAUTIFUL projects, and always gives great inspiration.  I'm so glad she's part of my team!

5.  http://scrapadoodledee.blogspot.com/ - I love Candace!!  She has the absolute CUTEST stuff that she makes, and the stuff for her craft fairs are awsome.  She is also so gracious to share how she makes the stuff with some great tutorials.  Thanks Candace!!

Display this badge proudly in your sidebar and link it to the Digi's With Attitude! Challenge Blog. To qualify for the $5.00 Digi's With Attitude! Store Gift Certificate please read the guidelines HERE.

Thanks again you guys, and I hope all the new recipients enjoy their award!!

Family Friday

Hi Everybody!
Thanks for joining me and my fantastic design team for another Family Friday!  Today the designers are going to show what their kids (or the youngest person they know) is thankful for.  First is my project, but then please click on the designers name to head on over to their blogs for all the details on their projects.  Thanks you guys for doing another amazing job this week!!

My project was done by my kids, but what they are thankful for will be the other page in what turned out to be a double page spread!  For this page, I traced each of my kids hands, with part of their arm.  I turned their arm into the bark for the tree, and the hands as leaves.  I jokingly told my husband we have enough kids to make a forest, LOL!  They are also in order, with my oldest having her hand starting from the left, and on down to even my 9 month old baby boy!!  I used the Graphically Speaking cart (with the jumble feature) for the title (it says Precious).  I used the Give a Hoot cart for that super cute owl :o)

Isn't my 9 month old's hand sooooooo cute?!?!

Rhonda

I grew gourds ages ago and put them down stairs hanging in my basement to dry out. So when I was thinking of how to do something different for what we are thankful for I decided to let my granddaughter paint all the gourds brown, because she loves to paint. Then went from there after they dryed. Used design calander the leaf cut. cut at 6 in (shift sept) then cut the wings at 3 in the same.

*hat cut at 3 in (november real size)
*george cart 3 in stars for feet, 1and 1/2 long ovals and 1 in hearts for beak
*after paint is dry, tie ribbon around neck first, then add hat, eyes beak, gobbler then last add the leafs for feathers
*side wings hold the signs each sign says something different, one says thankful you're not a turkey, thankful for hamthankful for chicken, thankful for fish, and for the baby turkey the sign says thankful Im too cute to eat!

Becky

This is a "I am thankful for..." holder. Everyone in our family will be required to insert at least 3 things into this box before Thanksgiving and then we will read them all during Thanksgiving dinner :) This will also include my mom, MIL and Grandma!

Craft Junkie Too Thankful Design Team Project!!

Hi Everybody!
The latest and greatest challenge from Tracy over at Craft Junkie Too was to make a project showing what we were thankful for.  Here's what I came up with:

*Smiley cart (my new favorite!) = images
*Designer Calendar = sentiment
*Pink by Design stamps = images on leaves
*designed on my Gypsy
*Post-it Craft Paper, & scraps from my stash
*Peachy Keen Retro Faces set, and Everyday Character Face Parts set
*Stickles

I decided to make a Thankful album. It's been a crazy (good and bad) year for my family, and I wanted to have an album/journal to write and show all the things I'm thankful for. We had a new baby born this year, and a new niece coming in January (that's what the baby cut was for. I'll use that page to write about the new babies in our family). The older I get, the more I see the need to NOT cry over spilled milk (this was really the perfect cut for that!). And to be thankful for all the love I have in my life (aren't those the CUTEST kisses and hugs symbols?!?!) These are just a few of the images in the album. I think this will be something my whole family will treasure in the future!  TFL, hope you liked it, and don't forget to check out the other designers, and everything Tracy has going on over at Craft Junkie Too!!

Cricut Cardz Challenge #50

Hi Everybody!

I'm so excited to share with you the project I made for the latest challenge over at Cricut Cardz ChallengeThis time we were to make a card for Christmas, using the card feature from any cartridges we'd like, using any colors we'd like.  So I OF COURSE had to use the new Smiley cartridge.  I can't say enough how in love with this cart I am, it's so cute!  So here's what I came up with for this challenge:

*Smiley cartridge
*Pink by Design Simply Everything stamp set
*Creative Memories star punch
*bling from my stash
*white ink (I didn't use white StazOn, which I should have 'cause it smeared on this foiled paper. I definitely added it to my wish list!)
*Stampin' Up! Happy set (inside)

*How do you like my shadow??  LOL, sorry about that :P
*I used the Stampin' Up! set for the inside, and the Creative Memories star punch (I like that these punches layer so easily!) to decorate the inside.

That's it!  This card was ridiculously easy to put together.  If you have this cart, using the card feature is great, and the cuts layer so smoothly!  TFL, and don't forget to join us over at the CCC!!
