30 Days of Handmade Gifts = Scrapaholic Guest Designer

TheScrapoholic

Hi Everybody!
Today I am honored to be a guest designer for Jill the Scrapaholic as part of the 30 Days of Gift Giving that she hosting this month.  If you came from www.thescrapoholic.blogspot.com/ you are at the right place.  Thank you for having me Jill!  I am day 30 :)

Every year for all our family and friends, I make delicious pumpkin bread to give to everyone. (Thank you Martha Stewart!)  I love to come up with different ways to decorate the packaging every year.  This time I was so happy to get to use my all time favorite cartridge, Art Philosophy!  Here are the details:

*Art Philosophy = take out box on p.24, flower p.39 (with matching stamp from the CTMH Celebrations stamp set)
*Cosmo Cricut = patterned paper
Timeless Twine = Christmas Bakers Twine
*Stampin' Up! = solid cardstock, ink
*Pink By Design = Kitchen Puns set
*tag punch
*red plastic wrap

*I cut the box @ 11" so it would be big enough to fit the little muffin :)
*The red plastic wrap looks festive, and helps keep the muffin fresh!

*I folded the poinsettias on the top to give extra dimension.

*I had to add a little bling!

*I stamped the cut, and then inked in white to give contrast.

*I thought this was the perfect sentiment for this deeeelicious bread!

I hope you enjoyed my project today.  One down, 12 to go, lol!  I hope you will check out the rest of the projects that were featured on Jill the Scrapaholic and get some ideas from all the amazing projects that were shared.  TFL, and hope everyone has a chance to craft today :OD

Hi Everybody!
Haaaaaaaappy Thanksgiving!  I hope you all are enjoying today with your family and loved ones.  Since today is a holiday, the team and I are taking a break from the challenge to spend the time with our families.

I will be extending the current challenge until Dec. 7th.  You can check out the current challenge HERE.  The next challenge will start on Dec. 8th.!!

I posted a previous quick Thanksgiving home decor project yesterday.  You can check that out HERE.  For today's post we wanted to share a little about what we're thankful for:

Jenny - Crazy About Cricut

I am grateful for my family.  I have an amazing husband who works hard so I can stay home and take care of our 4 awsome kids.  A month ago we were able to move into a new house that has given us the space we needed, and has improved our quality of life more than I could have imagined.  I am also so very grateful for my crafty life.  My bloggy friends, Facebook friends, and people I've met through the class I teach have become a part of my daily life and make sharing things a priceless experience!  And to everyone who joins in on the challenges, it means so much that you share the spirit of the challenge :O)

And to my design team, I am definitely grateful for you!  I'm honored that you guys want to be on my team, share my passion for crafting with family and loved ones, and that you create such fantastic projects for our challenges.  Thank you!!!

I am thankful for family and busy hands crafts for the kid's table. Check out what I'll be crafting with all the kids at our Thanksgiving celebration.

I am thankful for my family and friends! I hope everyone has a wonderful day with their family and friends.

I am thankful that my husband has a great job and fantastic insurance. I am thankful that I get to stay home and volunteer at my daughters school when ever needed. I hope all my design team sisters have a wonderful Thanksgiving!!

Thankful for family, friends and my design team family. Thankful for family time and crafting time.

Finally, today I have one of my favorite FB and bloggy friends Shawn (creator of MyCutSearch.com, and the Crafty Chics blog) who has a card to share.  Here she is:

I have been having a lot of fun with one particular stamp set called Positive Thoughts by K Andrew Designs.  When I got this stamp set I started to get all kinds of ideas for Disney Themed projects.

Well here is what I came up with for today.

I thought the combination of Grumpy and Happy was PERFECT for the phrase "Attitude is Everything"

If you want to see other cards I have created with this stamp set . . . some of them Disney Themed . . . click HERE.

Thanks for sharing such an adorable card Shawn!  Do any of you have a Disney project to share?  Be sure to link it up below so we can all check it out (and a chance to be featured on a Mickey and Friends Monday)!  Hope everyone has a chance to craft today, and have a magical Monday!

Welcome to the Disney Pixar Blog Hop!

Hi Everybody!
Welcome to Day 2 of the Disney Pixar Blog Hop!  Hopefully you just came from Jessica at the http://thecreativestamperspot.blogspot.com/.  If not, please head over to see our hop hostess Shawn at http://craftychicsblog.blogspot.com/ so you can start from the beginning.

Are you ready for some more Disney magic today??  I made a little home decor project to share with you.  Here's the details:

*Mickey shaped paint chips (I got mine from Home Depot.)
*Pink By Design = Simply Everything stamp set
*acrylic paint
*twine
*picture frame

*I had to paint around the Mickey heads since they had the paint color name printed on the bottom corner.
*I then glued twine around the head to add texture.

*This sentiment went perfectly with the multi-colored Mickey heads, and it's how I feel after coming back from Disneyland!

This was a total crafty experiment for me.  I've always wanted to use paint chips, I adore twine, and like getting my hands messy with the paint!  I might change a couple of things, but all in all I was pretty happy with how it turned out :OD
And now for the blog candy:

$15 Gift Certificate to Pink By Design!!
To enter:

1. Leave a comment on this post with your favorite Pink By Design stamp. (Visit the store HERE.)

2. Please be a follower of my blog.

My letter is . . . .
Now head over to see
and her amazing project!

Here is the lineup in case you get lost or need to stop along the way:

Cooking With Cricut Giving Thanks Blog Hop

Hi Everybody!
Welcome to Crazy About Cricut and the CookingWithCricut.com "Giving Thanks" Blog Hop! If you've come from visiting Larelyn at http://handmadefromtheheart-designsbylarelyn.blogspot.com, you're in the right place! If you've just happened across my blog and would like to hop along with us, you can go to CookingWithCricut.com and start at the beginning.

Today’s hop is all about Thanksgiving decorations – for your home and table.  Since we have a million kids at our house for Thanksgiving (ok, only 6, but 4 of them are mine!), I thought a baby bib would be an essential, must have item at our table!  My mom was kind enough to help me work the sewing machine, since I'm still learning :)

*I used the Baby Steps Cricut cartridge to help me with the design of the bib.
*I cut out a bib shadow, and then traced the outline on the material with chalk.

*Isn't this fabric too cute?!?!

*I found this really cute corderoy fabric to use on the other side.

*This bib will look so cute on my baby boy!

I had some help with the button, but overall this project wasn't too bad for one of the few sewing projects I've made.  I hope you all liked it!

And now for the blog candy:

$15 Gift Certificate to Pink By Design!!

To enter:

1. Leave a comment on this post with your favorite Pink By Design stamp. (Visit the store HERE.)
2. Please be a follower of my blog.

**Note: Prize will need to be redeemed by Thanksgiving.**
I will draw a winner on November 21st.

Now it's your turn! Link up your Thanksgiving project at CookingWithCricut.com. Here are a few guidelines:

 Must follow the challenge topic and
use one of the free files provided at CWC.

 Must be a NEW project for this challenge. No back dated posts please.

 Must have a link back to this post on your blog.

 Must link your project post through Inlinkz and not just your blog.

 Must use your Cricut in some capacity.

 Must HAVE FUN!

 You may gladly combine challenges . . . we love to pile it on TOO!

The Design Team will pick their three favorites and one lucky person will be chosen randomly to win one of the prizes being offered in this hop. There is also a prize for just leaving us a comment on the CWC blog. One catch, those leaving comments MUST be a CWC follower. Each prize winner will receive a $10 gift voucher-download from PaperCraftingWorld.com.

I'm the last stop on this hop, so I'd like to end it by thanking everybody very much for joining us for this hop!  All of us at Cooking With Cricut would like to wish you a very Happy Thanksgiving!
