All American Blog Hop

Hi Everybody!
Thank you for joining us for the All American Blog hop! We are sharing projects that celebrate anything American! So anything like BBQ's, family picnics, 4th of July, or more.   I've been needing/wanting to do more scrapbooking.  I also like to do home decor.  So I compromised and did both!  What's more All American than baseball??!!  Here's the project I made to share with you today:

*George and Basic Shapes cartridge
*Boys Will Be Boys cartridge
*Pink By Design sentiments = Oh Boy! set
*Sakura white gel pen = stitching
*Stickles

*Isn't that border awsome?!?  I got it in a swap YEARS ago.  It's using a Creative Memories technique.

*I thought this sentiment complimented baseball perfectly!

I am so loving the Boys Will Be Boys cartridge!  The cuts are soooo easy to put together.  I hope you like it 'cause I'll be using it a lot coming up!  And now, onto the BLOG CANDY!!!!

There are great prizes to be won! Post-it Craft paper prize pack, Pink By Design Party Time stamp set, and a Scrap 'n Tote!

Cooking With Cricut Design Team Day - Cow Challenge!

Hi Everybody!
It's time for another Cooking With Cricut challenge!  The challenge this time is to help celebrate National Dairy Month. So how about we give a nod to the little cows!
Your project must have a cow on it AND/OR must be black and white with a small amount of one other color.

I was scrapping this past weekend with my good friend Theresa (The Scrapbooking Queen), Julie (Cricut Chick), and another really nice lady and had such a great time!  One of my main goals for the day was to get ahead on some projects!  I'm happy to say I did :)  I decided to make a card for this challenge, and I welded one together for the first time!  I was happy with how it came out.  Here are the details:

*Pop Up Neighborhood cartridge = cow, shape for base and all layers (with my Gypsy)
*Pink By Design stamps = Take the Cake set (sentiment), Leopard background stamp (to look like cow print behind sentiment)
*Cosmo Cricket patterned paper
*kraft, and red paper = Joann's
*Sakura white gel pen = stitching
*twine from my stash

*The Leopard background stamp is actually a two step stamp, but I only used the bottom pictured part of it.

*It totally looks like cow print on my card!

I totally had fun making this, and I definitely see more welding card bases in my crafty future!  Now head on over to Cooking With Cricut to enter the challenge, and see what the rest of the amazing design team has created :oD

Thankful Thursday Reminder on Saturday :P

Hi Everybody!
How is everybody's summer going?  My kids and I have been on summer vacation for about a month and a half already and I can never remember what day it is!  We're having fun, and while we have to be creative on funding our summer vacation, my husband and I are really lucky to have kids that enjoy spending time with the family.  Give them some hotdogs, sticks to roast on, and marshmellows by the backyard firepit and they are happy campers!  (And actually the love to go camping too!)

I also wanted to remind everybody that you still have time to enter the current Thankful Thursday Challenge.  If you'd like a chance to win this:

then enter the current challenge HERE. The challenge is:

Father's Day. Any project you'd like. It can be for/by/about a father. Feel free to make anything other than a card, but you can still do a card if you'd like :o)

Here's the card my 7 year old made for her dad. (Sorry for the fuzzy pictures, the kids had the camera!)

Here's the little treat bag my 8 year old made for daddy.

Here is the Father's Day card I made for my dad.

I am SO in love with the Father's Day solutions cartridge.  It is definitely not just for Father's Day.  There are all kinds of great guy related images on there.  It's available on the Cricut Rewards site, so if you have the points I recommend it!  And I know people complain about the high shipping/handling charges, but you end up paying less for that than you would for the cart so I still think it's worth it.

The grand prize winner of the prize pack will be announced this Thursday! TFL, and hope I hope to see you all enter :oD

The Queen's Royal Court Blog Hop - Featuring Cri-Kit Gel Pens

Hi Everybody!
I'm super excited for this weeks sponsor. Each day this week one of The Queen's Royal Court Designer will have a day of showcasing the Cri~kits Gel Pens.  Today is my turn!!!  First, let me tell you a little bit about these pens.

The Cri-Kits gel pens are precision made for use in the Cricut and most other die cutting machines. When inserted in place of the blade cartridge, these pens can transfer any image to your paper. With 40 color choices, there is a color to match your latest project.

The pens appear to be miniature sized gel pens . Each pen contains a small magnet on the end and when the pen is inserted into the custom holder base it clicks into place as the magnet attaches to a metal piece on
the inside of the holder.

The pen holder replaces the blade cartridge in the machine.  Once the holder and pen are firmly in place, it is time to draw!

Here is a video I had made showing how to use these pens (along with the Cricut markers) to make a calendar page:

Here is another project I recently made:

These pens were so perfect for this!  I wanted to create my own title, but didn't want to go through the hassle of cutting out each letter and adhering them.  And sometimes it takes me forever to weld the letters together!  This was done in less than 5 minutes!!

Now Cri~Kits has generously donated to The Queen's Royal Court
 the following Blog Candy prizes:

Queen's Grand Prize:
All 42 gel-pens with magnetic holder

Royal Court DT Prizes: (What you can win from me, and EACH of the designers in this hop!!!)

12 gel-pens (choice of 1 kit + swirls)

Hi Everybody!
I'm so excited 'cause today is my Pink By Design design team post on the PBD blog! I love making home decor things with my Cricut, and this project is one of my favorite things to make! Using the frame on the Happy Hauntings cartridge (I know, I just love Halloween and can't let it go, lol!), my kids and I made this frame for my husband for Father's Day. While it was a Father's Day present, we made it so it could be used for any occasion.  For a VERY detailed tutorial, head on over to my post on the Pink By Design blog for all the sizes, directions, and pictures.

I hope you like it, and will try one yourself.  If you do, please post it on the Pink By Design messageboard so we can all check it out!! TFL, and be sure to check out all the challenges, swaps, and more going on in the messageboard :o

(PSSSSSSST! This is also the set that's on sale for Stamptastic Tuesday, so head on over to the Pink By Design store and grab it before it sells out!!!!)
