Cartridge Showcase: Dreams Come True Disney Princess Cartridge

Hi Everybody!
Today is Cartridge Showcase over on Cooking With Cricut.  This is where the design team shares projects we've made with a certain cartridge, and any tips we have learned about it.  So here we go!

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE all the Disney cartridges.  Even though they can be challenging, they are SO worth it!  My daughter recently had an Ariel themed birthday party.  Whenever my kids want a theme that I can cut with my Cricut, I'm so happy!  It saves money, and shopping time :O)  For my first project, I want to share the perfect banner I was able to make for her using the Dreams Come True Disney Princess cartridge:

(Today is also Mickey and Friends Monday here on my blog, so enjoy these Disney projects!)

*I put Ariel on an Action Wobble!

*I also put Flounder on an Action Wobble!

For my second project I made this card using this elephant that is only two layers!
One of my favorite things about this (and all Disney carts) is the Icon feature. These are still in a Disney style, but are A LOT easier to put together.

My last project is another card again using the Icon feature.  A simple two layer cut, some doodling, a sentiment and you have a card you can make in minutes!

I hope you enjoyed my projects!  Make sure you check out Cooking With Cricut for all the latest challenges, and all the exciting things going on!  TFL, and hope everyone has a chance to craft today :O)

Cooking With Cricut Challenge - Theme Challenge

Hi Everybody!
It's time for another Cooking With Cricut Challenge! This week the challenge was chosen by me and two of my CWC design team sisters.  We decided to make it a theme challenge: It must be birthday plus have a cake, cupcakes or balloons.  I had 3 birthdays in my family this month, so this was a perfect challenge for me!  Here's the card that I created:

*Art Philosophy cartridge
*Jaded Blossom = Funny Mail, Snail Mail
*Timeless Twine = Kraft Brown Bakers Twine
*Peachy Keen Stamps = The Cornies Assortment

*I cut an oval around the digi stamp.  I decided it looked too plain, so I took my scissors and made a wavy oval!

*LOVE that this digi stamp comes with and without a face.  I decided to use some Peachy Keen Face stamps on this one.

*I embossed the card base, and inked the edges.

I hope you enjoyed my card. Now it’s your turn!!! Head on over to Cooking With Cricut to enter your project. TFL, and hope everyone has a chance to craft today :OD

Jaded Blossom Leprechaun Treat!

Hi Everybody!
I'm so happy to share another
Jaded Blossom project with you!  Since St. Patrick's Day is the next holiday we can make treats for (yay!), I decided to try and get a jump start on making some to pass out.  Here is what I came up with:

*Jaded Blossom = Luck of the Irish set
*Gold Stickles
*scraps from my stash
*gold coin candy

*I was lucky enough to score a few bags of these coins after Christmas when they were all on clearance.  They looked like leprechaun gold to me!

*I added gold Stickles to his little hat and belt for more bling!

*I used the 2 different clovers that come in the Luck of the Irish set to create my own background paper.

These were super simple to make!  If these are for kids and you have the time, your kids could even help color the cute little leprachaun.  I hope you liked it! I'd love to see some of you make this and share it on the Jaded Blossom Facebook page HERE, or on my Facebook page HERE.  TFL, and hope everyone has a chance to craft today :O)

Mickey And Friends Monday!!

Hi Everybody!
Welcome to another Mickey and Friends Monday!! Now you can say you have a reason to look forward to Mondays, whoo hooo! Today's MFM is a little different.  The character I'm highlighting today isn't exactly a Disney animated character, but he is a child's character who is loved by everybody............

It's Elmo!!!!!  My son recently had an Elmo themed birthday (or as he calls him, Memo!), so I wanted to share some of the projects I made.

*I used the Elmo party cart for all papercrafted projects :)

*Here is our decorated mantle.
(Elmo balloons compliments of Grandma!)

*I love this banner.  This cart tells you how many banner shapes to cut, and the happy birthday comes as one cut so you don't even have to cut each letter individually!

*This game is also pre-designed on the cart.  It's a "pin the crayon on Elmo" game.
*You cut a crayon out for each player.
*It's super simple to cut and put together!

*I took these little red balls I bought at the Dollar Tree, cut out eyes and a nose from the Elmo cart in vinyl, and I had some simple party themed party favors!
*NOTE:  The vinyl was for appearance only.  It didn't stick to the balls as I had hoped, but they looked cute, and once the kids started bouncing the balls, they didn't really care that the faces fell off, lol!

*I added this cut to a tabletop decoration for a great centerpiece!

*Here is the amazingly cute birthday boy!!  While he has definitely entered the "terrible two's", he can still melt me with those hazel eyes, and adorable face!!!

I hope you enjoyed these projects, and that you will be inspired on how to use your Disney cuts, and all character creations!  Make sure you come back every Monday for some more Disney inspiration. Have a magical day :O)
