Jaded Blossom Challenge & Jinger Adams Design Team Entry

Hi Everybody!
Today my project is going to do double duty!  First, I am entering this as my project for the Jinger Adams design team call.  Since Jinger is starting a new path on her crafty adventures, I thought what exciting possibilities this new team has!  I know she will end up with a talented team :)

Second, is also exciting news!  The next challenge is starting over at Jaded BlossomFor this months challenge the theme is.....

 Easter Treats!

Create any type of Easter Treat using a Jaded Blossom stamp somewhere on your project.  Here is my challenge project details:

Cricut cartridges
*Doodlecharms Cricut cartridge - bunny heads, flowers
*Paperdolls Cricut cartridge - picket fence, grass

Stamps
*Jaded Blossom - Flag Dies, Bunny Poop set (bunny, sentiment),

Paper
*Echo Park - Holly Jolly Christmas (bunny on right, 2 flowers on left),
This & That (flower on right)
*My Mind's Eye - (bunny on left)

Punches
*Stampin' Up! - scallop punch

Twine

Misc.
*block of florist foam
*jellybeans, and lollypops

*The lollipop sticks were to short, and looked plain, so I stuck them in some of the decorative Straws from JB and they looked much better!

*My Gypsy suffered an "accident" a few weeks ago (gasp!), so I wasn't able to make the grass layer longer to cover the whole block of flower foam.  I had to get creative!  What I decided to do was add a layer of "dirt".  This allowed me the height that I needed :)

Now head on over to the Jaded Blossom blog to enter this challenge, and see the other gorgeous projects from the rest of the design team! TFL, and hope everyone has a chance to craft today :O)

52 Tags in 2012 Week 13 AND Timeless Twine DT Post

Hi Everybody!
Today is a good day!  It's not only time for the next 52 Tags in 2012 Challenge.....

it's also time for me to share .............

another Timeless Twine design team project with you!  I have a twine-fully happy tag to share today.  Here are the details:

*B is for Boy Cricut cartridge
*Timeless Twine - Cherry Red, Aqua Blue
*Peachy Keen Stamps
*paper from my stash

*For the 52 Tags Challenge, on the back we had to write the name of our favorite song, who sings it, when it was released, and why we like it.  I based my tag on the song "Good Life" by One Republic.

We were having a lot of changes to our life the past 6 months, and it was really trying at times.  Sometimes it was hard to remember why we were doing what we were doing.  We had to remember it was to have a better quality of life.  And in the middle of it all, this song came out, and it reminded us that we had a good life, and that it was only going to get better.  My favorite part is at the end when he clearly sings "Tell me what there's to complain about."  This song will always hold a special place in my heart :)  Now onto my project!

*Here is my tag at first.  Hmmmm, still missing something.......

*Ah-ha!  We need...........

*..........more twine!!!!

*I took a strip of Terrifically Tacky Tape (the red double sided tape) and layed that along the edge.
*Then I took small pieces of Aqua Blue twine and made little loops, and attached it to the line of red tape.

*I added a bow and button for the finishing touch :)

I hope you enjoyed my project!  Don't forget to check out the
Timeless Twine March Challenge!

Guest Designer for Liz's Paperloft!!

Hi Everybody!
I am SO SUPER EXCITED to be a guest designer for Liz from Liz's Paperloft, and help keep you guys from going through crafty withdrawals while her new bionic shoulder heals (ok, maybe not exactly a bionic shoulder....)!  Today I have a card using one of my favorite crafty supplies, clear craft plastic.  Here are the details:

*Create a Critter Cricut cartridge = panda and all layers
*My Creative Time = Game Night Stamp Set, I Believe in Leprechauns Stamp Set
*Timeless Twine = Olive Green
*clear craft plastic

*I love the dimension this plastic can give to a card!

*The secret to this kind of card is just to cut extra base layers.  That way you can cover any adhesive you need to use.

*I put an extra layer here, and the panda so that there is room to write a message on the inside.

*This is from the I Believe in Leprechauns Stamp Set.

*This is from the Game Night Stamp Set.

What friend wouldn't feel "lucky" to get this card??  I'd like to thank you so much Liz for having me as a guest designer!!  But wait.....one more thing.....

Liz has some exciting news to share with you, but not quite yet. However, in the meantime, while she's recovering, she is reading every comment! Not only is she reading them, she's counting them, because at the end of all this, she will have two announcements! The first will be a winner of some exciting BLOG CANDY! The second, it's a big one...and no, she's not coming out with stamps...you just have to wait and see!

TFL, and hope everyone has a chance to craft today!!

Welcome to the Bunnies and Blossoms Banner Blog Hop!

Hi Everybody!
Welcome to the Bunnies and Blossoms Banner Hop for Special Needs Children!  Today and tomorrow (March 24-25), 30+fantastic papercrafters have come together to create Spring-themed banners.  They will then donate these banners to Ellen (CardMonkey), who works as Admissions Coordinator at Pediatric Specialty Care (PSC), www.pediatricspecialty.com.

PSC is a long-term care facility for special needs children who are medically-fragile and/or technologically-dependent. The babies, children and youths at PSC range in age from birth to 21, and are admitted from all over the country.

Some are infants, born prematurely and before their lungs have had a chance to mature. Others have serious birth defects, illnesses or injuries from accidents that cause them to need tender loving carein a home-like environment -- many for their lifetimes.

Our banners are meant to cheer the youngpatients, their families, and the staff at PSC. Here is the banner that I made and will be sending to Ellen to decorate a child's room:

*Birthday Bash Cricut cartridge - banner base and circle layer

*digital stamps - Pixie Dust Studios (little boy, two bunnies, eggs in nest), Bugaboo (bunny holding flower, decorated egg), Meljen's Designs (chocolate bunny, happy bird)

*ribbon - Stampin' Up!

*Stickles - purple, yellow, blue, pink

*I used purple Stickles to decorate the background.

*I also used Stickles in various colors to add details to each of the stamps.  Here's how I did it on the little happy bird.

I really hope the kids will like my banner, and am so happy to be taking part in such a great hop for such an amazing cause!  Thank you Ellen for having me :O)
