Summer Blog Hop Winner Announced, and Challenge Project

Hi Everybody!
I have a project to share with you all today, but first I need to announce the winners of the "Whatcha Been Doing This Summer Blog Hop".  (It was much easier to count to the winner with the comment counter code!  You can grab the code for free HERE.)  The winner of the first prize of Square 1 product (according to Random.org) is.............

And the winner of the 5 pack of Action Wobbles is.......

Congratulations ladies!!  Please email me at crazyaboutcricut at hotmail dot com with your address so I
can get your prizes to each of you :O)

Ok, now onto the project for today!  My kids went back to school last week, so we are in teacher appreciation mode here :)  Since teachers always have to give so much out of their own pocket, I wanted to make a little something to help out.

With school coming or already here, now is the perfect time to enter those Welcome Back to School gifts in the latest Jaded Blossom Challenge!  It's a school theme, and you need to use a JB stamp, but it does not have to be from the teacher set.  You can use any Jaded Blossom stamp!  Here are the details for my project:

*Jaded Blossom - Sport Kisses stamp set, Miscellaneous Fun stamp set, Flag Dies
*Doodlecharms Cricut cartridge
*Square 1 - color sheets (bus and all layers)
*patterned paper from my stash

*I made this reward jar with some pencils, and animal themed bookmarks. Instead of paper I plan to fill it with fruit snacks, but we didn't have any. In a house with 4 kids, I wonder where they all went........hmmmm.....(lol). I'll grab some before giving it :O)

*I am so in love with the Square 1 product!  Even this small it cut out perfectly, and was soooooo easy to adhere!

JB Super Hero Stamp Set Sneak Day 1 AND Mickey and Friends Monday

Hi Everybody!
I have a special Mickey and Friends Monday post today..........

It's also a sneak peek of a new stamp set that will be released THIS THURSDAY from Jaded Blossom!!

The theme of the set is Super Hero, so this will be one that goes so perfectly with a ton of character images.  Here is the project I made:

*Superman Cricut cartridge - Superman head cut @ 4"
*Happy Hauntings Cricut cartridge - frame cut @ 7 1/2"
*Jaded Blossom - Superhero stamp set (sentiment),
Flag Dies (flags), Sport Kisses (star circles)
*DCWV - patterned paper

*I thought this was the perfect sentiment to put with this picture of my husband and son.  (We have 3 girls too, so this little guy is extra spoiled!)

*I LOVE this frame cut from the Happy Hauntings cartridge.  I forgot to take a side view picture though :(

*This Superman was very easy to put together.  He's only a few layers: base (black), blue hair highlights, skin, glasses and eyes.  Even the eyes weren't too bad at this size!

*These circles from the Sport Kisses made the perfect accents :O)

Taaa daaaa!  I hope you like it :O)

Jaded Blossom Celebrate Layout

Hi Everybody!
I'm so excited that it's my turn to share another Jaded Blossom project with you!  Did you hop along with us for the first ever Customer Appreciation blog hop??  It was amazing, and there were even some of the cutest JB digital stamps as FREEBIES!!  Make sure you were able to grab them from this post HERE.
Speaking of those digis, I used one of them for my project today!  I've been trying to catch up on my scrapbooking, so this was the perfect stamp for this 4th of July layout.  It's 8" x 8" in size, which can be a little less intimidating than a 12" x 12" :)  Here are the details:
*Jaded Blossom Digital Stamp - available HERE
*Jaded Blossom - Miscellaneous Fun (all sentiments, and red stars behind owl),
*Prima - patterned paper
*DCWV - white glitter (mat)
*Stickles - red, white, blue

*I wanted the flag dies to look like fireworks coming out from behind the owl, so I added sparkle to them and outlined them with Stickles.

I hope you liked it! I'd love to see some of you make this and share it on the Jaded Blossom Facebook page HERE, or on my Facebook page HERE. TFL, and hope everyone has a chance to craft today :O)

Jaded Blossom Challenge & Jinger Adams Design Team Entry

Hi Everybody!
Today my project is going to do double duty!  First, I am entering this as my project for the Jinger Adams design team call.  Since Jinger is starting a new path on her crafty adventures, I thought what exciting possibilities this new team has!  I know she will end up with a talented team :)

Second, is also exciting news!  The next challenge is starting over at Jaded BlossomFor this months challenge the theme is.....

 Easter Treats!

Create any type of Easter Treat using a Jaded Blossom stamp somewhere on your project.  Here is my challenge project details:

Cricut cartridges
*Doodlecharms Cricut cartridge - bunny heads, flowers
*Paperdolls Cricut cartridge - picket fence, grass

Stamps
*Jaded Blossom - Flag Dies, Bunny Poop set (bunny, sentiment),

Paper
*Echo Park - Holly Jolly Christmas (bunny on right, 2 flowers on left),
This & That (flower on right)
*My Mind's Eye - (bunny on left)

Punches
*Stampin' Up! - scallop punch

Twine

Misc.
*block of florist foam
*jellybeans, and lollypops

*The lollipop sticks were to short, and looked plain, so I stuck them in some of the decorative Straws from JB and they looked much better!

*My Gypsy suffered an "accident" a few weeks ago (gasp!), so I wasn't able to make the grass layer longer to cover the whole block of flower foam.  I had to get creative!  What I decided to do was add a layer of "dirt".  This allowed me the height that I needed :)

Now head on over to the Jaded Blossom blog to enter this challenge, and see the other gorgeous projects from the rest of the design team! TFL, and hope everyone has a chance to craft today :O)

Jaded Blossom Candy Slider

Hi Everybody!
It's happily my turn to share another Jaded Blossom project with you!  I made this candy slider card for a birthday treat, but it would work awsome for any occassion.  Here's how it turned out:

You'll need:

*Jaded Blossom = Miscellaneous Fun. and Flag Dies
*Art Philosophy Cricut cartridge
*sea green cardstock
*Echo Park patterned paper
*Stampin' Up! solid cardstock
 *ribbon

*Before scoring, lay your candy down to see where you will need to fold it.

*You will need to leave about 1/8" on both sides of the candy to allow it to be able to slide in and out.

*Before you adhere it closed, add your mat on the front, and do any stamping and embellishing at this point.  It's much easier to do it while it's completely flat!

*For mine, I added the cupcake, banner and bling.

*I took my flag die cuts using the Flag Dies, and folded them 2 times on each side so that the flag popped up in the middle.

*I also stamped above and below the patterned paper mat.

*Once you're ready to close it, remember to allow a little bit of overlap to make it easier to adhere.

*Punch a hole at the top, and thread your ribbon through both sides.

*Put your candy on top of the ribbon, and push the candy down into the slider.

*Tie your ribbon closed at the top.

*Adhere the solid cardstock piece to the back, and embellish.  This is where you can write a message :)

*Here's the final project!

*Here's how it looks sliding out.

This was super simple to make!  And it would be great for all ages.  I hope you liked it! I'd love to see some of you make this and share it on the Jaded Blossom Facebook page HERE, or on my Facebook page HERE
