Stardust Dancing with So Suzy Stamps

Hi Everybody!
Weren't the stamps from this month's So Suzy Stamps release UH-MA-ZING??!!  I've been having a blast creating projects with them.  Here's my latest creations:

When I saw the Stardust Dancing sentiment stamp, I immediately thought of the Disney Fairies!  I thought they paired perfectly with this beautiful sentiment.

*First up is the Blue Fairy from Pinocchio.  This image is a print-then-cut from the Disney Classic Cricut cartridge.

*I also used the Wink of Stella (clear) to highlight the wings, and parts of the dress.

*I added some pop dots behind the fairy, and sequins for lots of sparkle!  The added border of  Stickles made this card really shine!

I had so much fun with this stamp, that I created another card!  This is with the fairy of all fairies.....Tinkerbell!!

*The Tinkerbell silhouette is from the Tinkerbell Cricut cartridge.
*Cutting her out of blue glitter paper really made her shine and sparkle!

*I used some little self-adhesive jewels for extra shine!

*What perfect cards to send to a friend or family member to give some motivation, or to share some magical memories :)

I hope you enjoyed my projects!

So Suzy Stamp Release and Challenge!

Hi Everybody!
It's the first of the month, so that means NEW stamps, and NEW So Suzy Stamps Monthly Challenge!!

This month we're showing off watercolor!  Here are my project details:

*So Suzy Stamps - Love Balloon
*Timeless Twine - Olive Green twine, Solid Black

*First, I colored the top layer of my tag using inks, and a blender pen.
*For the balloon, I used some watercolor crayons.

*Finally, I masked off the balloon part of the stamp, so I could stamp the string only in black.
*I added the twine bow, some green twine for the top of the tag and was done!
*This technique was definitely out of my crafty comfort zone, but it was so fun to try!

I hope you will join us!  If you have any questions on the challenge, you can check out the rules HERE.

Before I go, did you know that So Suzy Stamps can be found on InstagramFacebookPinterest and Twitter. Yes, you should join us there and find more inspirations and fun!!  TFL, and hope everyone has a chance to craft today :)

Card Proceeds with So Suzy Stamps

Hi Everybody!
I've been having so much fun creating projects from the So Suzy Stamps February release!  Today, I have a fun, definitely sarcastic card using the Proceed sentiment stamp.  Here's how it turned out....

*The card base is from the Art Philosophy Cricut Cartridge
*The eyes are from the Photo Booth Props Cricut cartridge
*This stamp would be perfect to stamp on the back of a card, but I decided to pair it with a funny die cut and use it on a card front :D

*I added pop dots behind those tired, stressed-out-because-my-wife-buys-too-much-crafting-stuff eyes!

I hope you enjoyed my project!  Before I go,  I wanted to remind you all that our February challenge is still going on. You can check that out HERE.  Entries close on February 28th, 2015 at 11:59pm.

Also, did you know So Suzy Stamps can be found on Instagram, FacebookPinterest and Twitter.  Yes, you should join us there and find more inspirations and fun!!  TFL, and hope everyone has a chance to craft today :)

What's Up, Doc? {Timeless Twine}

Hi Everybody!
Today is happily my turn to share a project for the Timeless Twine design team.  Welcome to 3D Thursday, where we get to highlight this fabulous twine on a project that isn't flat.  How fun is that??!!  Well, I was cruising Pinterest, and came across this cool idea for winding twine on a project from this blog HERE.  I decided to try this idea on a little smaller scale.  Here's how it turned out:

*Timeless Twine - Pumpkin Orange twine, Solid Orange twine, Olive Green twine
*Scotch - Quick Dry Tacky Adhesive
*Xyron - High Tack Double Sided Tape

*I started out by taking some packing paper, and shaping it into a cone.
*I put a strip of the adhesive down one side to help hold the twine in place.  I didn't put it all over, because although it dries clear I didn't want any shiny, dry glue showing.
*Then I just wrapped the twine around.

*When it was time to do the carrot stem, I started by wrapping a piece of the double sided tape around the top.
*Next, I wove the Olive Green twine up and down.  To finish it off, I wrapped more Olive Green around and covered up the bottom weaved part.
*After trimming a bit of the top off, the stem was done!

Here is the final product.........
*I love how the Solid Orange twine looks, and added a carrot using the Pumpkin Orange twine for a bit of pop.
*What's Up, Doc??  That bunny is ready to nibble on those delicious lookin' carrots, lol!

*Aren't those the cutest carrots ever??  I like how they're a little bumpy, and look more like real carrots.  It did take a couple of hours to do all 3, but I just sat with some music on, and it was pretty relaxing just sitting and winding twine :)
*I think these will make some fun Easter home decor!

I hope you enjoyed my project!  Make sure to check back daily for more inspiration from the design team.  TFL, and hope everyone has a chance to craft today :)
