Jaded Blossom's First Challenge!

Jaded Blossom

Hi Everybody!
I'm so excited for today!!!!  Today Jaded Blossom is starting their new challenge.  This challenge will take place on the first Sunday of every month and last two weeks. Winner will be randomly picked by random.org. There will also be prizes, whoo hooo!

There are also chances to be a Guest Designer!  Guest Designers will be given a couple stamp sets THAT ARE NOT YET RELEASED (how awsome is that?!)They will participate in sneaks, be spotlighted during the monthly challenge, participate in our release day blog hop and do one more post later on in the month. Sound like fun? Want to be one? Guest designers will be chosen based on participation in the monthly challenge and other events on the Jaded Blossom blog and facebook page.  Check out the JB blog for all the details :)

Our first challenge is to create a Valentine's day themed project.

It can be a card, a favor etc.. but it must include at least 1 Jaded Blossom stamp. That's it! You have until February 18th to link up your project. Winner will be announced on the 19th.

Here is the project I made:

*Stampin' Up! = heart punch
*red button from my stash
*glitter gel pen (on the hearts the owl is holding)
*white gel pen for stitching

*I started with this small plain treat bag.......

*And turned it into this!

*I stamped the owl on first, then the sentiment underneath.

*I used my white gel pen to color in the eyes, and my Zig markers to color in the owl.

*I colored in the hearts with a red marker, then went over them with the glitter gel pen.

*I used one of the small sentiments from the Trust in Cupid set inside a heart punch.

*Here's a side view :)

And what can you win for this challenge????

25 Boxes clear boxes

(candies not included)

Now head on over to the Jaded Blossom blog to enter this challenge, and see the other gorgeous projects from the rest of the design team!  TFL, and hope everyone has a chance to craft today :O)

Jaded Blossom Stamp Release Blog Hop!!!

Hi Everybody!
I'm so super excited to be a part of the Jaded Blossom design team, and to share this release with you!  Hopefully you just came from the super talented Ruthie.  If not, please head on over to Jaded Blossom so you can start from the beginning.  You won't want to miss a thing!

And this weekend only the entire Release package is on sale for $62.99 from $71.50!

Here's what I made with these awsome stamps:

For my first project I used the Valentine Treats set :

*These boxes (available in the Jaded Blossom store) are perfect for all kinds of treats! I put a couple of cake pops in them. I just punched a hole in the top (using my Big Bite Crop-o-dile) to be able to put in the stick.

*These cake pops are from Starbucks, and are a little larger.  I would recommend using ones that are a little bit smaller :)

*You can also stamp directly on the treat box!  Make sure you use StazOn ink so it won't smear :)

*I wrapped some twine around each stick, and added a bow.

For my next project, I used the "I Hoot You" Petal, and "Trust in Cupid" for this little easel card:

*The little hearts from the Trust in Cupid set punch out PERFECTLY with a Stampin' Up 1 1/2" heart punch.

Taaaa-daaaa!  These were so easy to make, and came together really easing using these sets.  You could so many of these in no time!!

And if the stamps weren't exciting enough for you, there's also some prizes!!

All you have to do to win is comment on the Jaded Blossom blog and be a JB follower. Want more chances to win? Comment on the entire design teams individual posts, there's only 6 of us. :) WINNERS will be picked on Tuesday.

Now head on over to see

Jaded Blossom Valentine Treats Sneak Peek!

Hi Everybody!
I am so ridiculously excited to be doing my first post for Jaded Blossom!  They are a new company that creates products for mostly party favors!  How awsome is that?!?!  With 4 kids, we always have party invites, decorations, class treats and more to make.  Then there are the thank gifts that are always in need!  With a larger family, making these things saves a ton of money (which is always good!).  And now onto the sneak peek:

I decided to make a Valentine's Day button. I know my husband will wear this proudly on Valentine's Day! (Only in the privacy of our own home, and where no one can see him, lol!)  While I made this one for my husband, I also plan to make other ones for my kids.  I thought these would be fun for them to wear to school.  These also might be the treat we hand out for their classes.  Fun and different!  Here are the details:

*Art Philosophy cartridge -  1 3/4" circle, scallop circle
*Martha Stewart scoreboard - rosettes
*EK Success - Border punch

*hot glue gun
*Jaded Blossom Sneak Peek!

*I hand drew the little white hearts for a little added touch :)

*This twine is soooo perfect for all your Valentine treats!

 Ugly picture warning!!

*I wanted to show how I did the back.  I just took a regular safety pin, opened it up, and then hot glued just the top portion.  I really wanted to use what I had and not go buy special pins, or clips!

*This was my test button, so the backs of the rest of them will be MUCH prettier!

I hope you liked my button, and will make some of your own.  If you'd like to use this same stamp set, you'll have to wait until Friday (plenty of time to make some for Valentine's Day!) for the Jaded Blossom Stamp Release Blog Hop! .  TFL, and hope everyone has a chance to craft today :O)
