Here are the guidelines:

*project must be new
*project MUST contain a Jaded Blossom stamp
*Project must have a Jaded Blossom stamp somewhere on it.

One random winner will win the SUPER HERO STAMP SET!!  This is the first challenge has a stamp set as the prize!

Here's what I made for the challenge:

*Plantain Schoolbook Cricut cartridge - apple
*Timeless Twine - black coffee, olive green
*Recollections - solid cardstock
*Stampin' Up! - green patterned cardstock
*white gel pen for stitching

*I cut the cardstock base piece @ 2 1/2"x6 1/2".
*Scored it at 2".
*Next, I used a 1 1/4" circle punch to make the hole in the top flap.
*Then I took some scraps, and used a border punch to add strips to the bottom.
*Finally, I added the apple with some pop dots, and stamped the sentiment.

*Ain't that the truth! Especially with it being over 90 degrees everyday here!

Now it's your turn! Head on over to the Jaded Blossom blog to enter this challenge, and see the other gorgeous projects from the rest of the design team! TFL, and hope everyone has a chance to craft today :O)

Peachy Keen Challenge - Gift Bags

Hi Everybody!
The next challenge over at Peachy Keen Stamps (which is gift bags) was posted last week.  I had the perfect idea for a project!  There are lots of Cricut cartridges that have gift bags on them, but I love the one from Plantain Schoolbook.  And I knew the round shape of the bag would work perfectly with a Peachy face!  So here is how my gift bag turned out:

*Plaintain Schoolbook Cricut cartridge - gift bag
*Everyday Paperdolls Cricut cartridge - hair
*Peachy Keen Stamps - PKK-05 4" Happy Lashes Mouth Open, July Stamp of the Month (flowers from bottom of mailbox)
*Timeless Twine - New Olive Green (earrings)
*white gel pen, red marker, and brown marker for detailing
*Stickles - yellow, orange, green, gold (flower centers)

*I stamped the flowers from the bottom of the mailbox stamp image (in the July PKS SOTM), and then hand cut them out.  They made the perfect flower clip accesories for my happy girl!

*I "pierced" her ears to give her those stylish earrings :O)
*I stamped the flowers again on the same patterned paper, then punched them out using a small circle punch.

*To make her ears, I took a 1 1/2" circle and cut it in half.
*Then I cut a slit into the gift bag, and slid her ears right in!

I had a lot of fun creating my bag, and these were so easy to put together, I could see making a bunch of these for a party!  TFL, and hope everyone has a chance to craft today :O)
