Wobble Wednesday's Challenge #5 and Disney Week!

Hi Everybody!

And now, onto the next challenge! Challenge #5 is....


3 Circle Challenge - add 3 circles anywhere on your project.

 It can be a card, a party favor etc.. but it must include an Action Wobble.
You will have until April 17th at midnight to enter. Winner will be announced April 18th.

*Since I'm also helping celebrate Disney Week (see details HERE), I used the Toy Story cart a little differently.  I just grabbed the circle I needed from one of the icon layers :O)

Mickey And Friends Monday

Hi Everybody!
Mickey and Friends Monday was on a little vacation while my family was moving.  But now we are getting settled in, and I'm getting back to full crafting force!  Today my FB friend Georgiana has a super cute Toy Story card to share:

 

 

She used the Toy Story cartridge and cut Woody at 4"and gold star at 3".

Cooking With Cricut's Cartridge Showcase & Mickey and Friends Monday!!

Hi Everybody!
Today I'm excited to share my project for the Cooking With Cricut's Cartridge Showcase.  Each Monday a member of the Design Team features a Cricut cartridge of their choice and projects we've made with that cartridge. We hope you'll be inspired to pull out your cartridges and find new ways to use them! 

Since today is also Mickey and Friends Monday here on my blog, I chose the Toy Story cartridge.  I LOVE Toy Story, and while this cartridge is still as challenging as the other Disney carts, it is still just as rewarding!!  One feature I think is awsome on this cart is the ICON feature.  All the Disney carts have it, but on the TS cart a lot of the icons are retro versions of the characters!  So I decided to cut the Jessie icon.  Here's how my card turned out:

*Toy Story cartridge = Jessie (icon button), frame and layers

*Pink By Design = Best in the West set 

*added yellow flowers from my stash

*bling from Michaels

*Post-it Craft paper

*kraft paper from Joanns

It's Mickey And Friends Monday!!!

I actually found a reason to be happy about Mondays!  Because that means it's time for Mickey and Friend Mondays!!!  Today my guest designers are two of my amazingly talented design team sisters from Pink By Design.  Check out their beautiful projects, and please click on there names to head to their blogs for more great pictures :)

My tip is that sometimes The white cuts are too intricate and don't cut, and some of the cuts that are supposed to show black just don't cut all the way... so my best friend... A white & black Gel pen to fill in the gaps :-) I will try to think of a better way to explain it.

Woody was cut at 5.   I did other characters inside and cut them at 3, but they were all cuts of their heads and no bodies

(I ended up using my gel pens a lot because I got tired of using white paper just to cut little eyes out!)

Here's a couple of tips for working with intricate cuts like this (which Disney seems to have a lot of). First, leave all of the little pieces on your Cricut mat while you're assembling the cut. That will make sure you don't lose anything. 

 

Also, if you want to ink up the little pieces for a little more depth of color, use crafting tweezers, such as Tweezer Bees to hold the little guys. That way you won't drop them and your fingers won't turn into rainbow messes. 

 

Oh, and another thing...if you're laying out all of the pieces on the base layer, just to see how they fit, make sure your window is closed! One good gust of wind, and I was crawling around on the floor looking for Jiminy's tongue! (Don't worry...I found it!) :o)

I'm so in love with these projects!  I hope they inspire you to try some Disney cuts for yourself, they are soooooo worth it!  Have a Magical Monday!

Mickey And Friends Monday

Hi Everybody!
It's time for another Mickey and Friends Monday :)  If your new to Mickey and Friends Mondays, it's where some guest designers and I give inspiration on using Disney cuts, and any tips we learned while putting these cuts together. 

I have two talented guest designers today.  First up is my Facebook friend Jennifer Lorist from Jenn's Paper Crafts.  Here is her super cute project:

I have my little cousin's bday coming up next weekend so I thought what a perfect chance to use the mickey and friends cartridge. He loves Mickey!!! Hope you like it, it's my first project using this cartridge :)

Can you believe that's her first one?  What a great project for inspiration :oD

Next up is another Facebook friend of mine Georgiana from Carson's Creations.  Here's her amazing project:

I cut out the small pieces twice. Sometimes when they are that tiny, they do not cut smoothly, so I have more to choose from.

I used a MS glue stick to dab glue on the base and then added the teeth with my Cricut hook. The spots on his face and neck are also very tiny, so I used the same procedures.

Here is the hook I was referring to.

Jenny again :)  This is one of my MUST HAVE tools too when working with my Cricut! 

I hope you all enjoyed these great projects, and that they inspire you to try some Disney cuts.  They aren't the easiest to put together, but I think they can be the most rewarding!  Have a magical Monday :oD
