Summer Blog Hop Winner Announced, and Challenge Project

Hi Everybody!
I have a project to share with you all today, but first I need to announce the winners of the "Whatcha Been Doing This Summer Blog Hop".  (It was much easier to count to the winner with the comment counter code!  You can grab the code for free HERE.)  The winner of the first prize of Square 1 product (according to Random.org) is.............

And the winner of the 5 pack of Action Wobbles is.......

Congratulations ladies!!  Please email me at crazyaboutcricut at hotmail dot com with your address so I
can get your prizes to each of you :O)

Ok, now onto the project for today!  My kids went back to school last week, so we are in teacher appreciation mode here :)  Since teachers always have to give so much out of their own pocket, I wanted to make a little something to help out.

With school coming or already here, now is the perfect time to enter those Welcome Back to School gifts in the latest Jaded Blossom Challenge!  It's a school theme, and you need to use a JB stamp, but it does not have to be from the teacher set.  You can use any Jaded Blossom stamp!  Here are the details for my project:

*Jaded Blossom - Sport Kisses stamp set, Miscellaneous Fun stamp set, Flag Dies
*Doodlecharms Cricut cartridge
*Square 1 - color sheets (bus and all layers)
*patterned paper from my stash

*I made this reward jar with some pencils, and animal themed bookmarks. Instead of paper I plan to fill it with fruit snacks, but we didn't have any. In a house with 4 kids, I wonder where they all went........hmmmm.....(lol). I'll grab some before giving it :O)

*I am so in love with the Square 1 product!  Even this small it cut out perfectly, and was soooooo easy to adhere!

SUPER HERO STAMP SET!!

This the first challenge that JB is offering a stamp set as the prize!

Jaded Blossom Celebrate Layout

Hi Everybody!
I'm so excited that it's my turn to share another Jaded Blossom project with you!  Did you hop along with us for the first ever Customer Appreciation blog hop??  It was amazing, and there were even some of the cutest JB digital stamps as FREEBIES!!  Make sure you were able to grab them from this post HERE.
Speaking of those digis, I used one of them for my project today!  I've been trying to catch up on my scrapbooking, so this was the perfect stamp for this 4th of July layout.  It's 8" x 8" in size, which can be a little less intimidating than a 12" x 12" :)  Here are the details:
*Jaded Blossom Digital Stamp - available HERE
*Jaded Blossom - Miscellaneous Fun (all sentiments, and red stars behind owl),
*Prima - patterned paper
*DCWV - white glitter (mat)
*Stickles - red, white, blue

*I wanted the flag dies to look like fireworks coming out from behind the owl, so I added sparkle to them and outlined them with Stickles.

I hope you liked it! I'd love to see some of you make this and share it on the Jaded Blossom Facebook page HERE, or on my Facebook page HERE. TFL, and hope everyone has a chance to craft today :O)

Jamie's Blogaversary Hop!!

Hi Everybody!
Welcome to Jamie's Blogaversary Hop!!  Hopefully you just came from my bloggy buddy Kim.  If not, please head on over to see our hop hostess Jamie, so you can start this celebration from the beginning :O)

I missed celebrating my blogaversary this year (boo), so I definitely wanted to help my Jaded Blossom DT sister celebrate hers (yaaay)!!  We could make anything we wanted for this hop as long as it had the color purple in it.  Since it's my mom's favorite color too, I decided to make a gift card holder for her.  Here are the details:

*Sweet Treats Cricut cartridge - flowers
*Jaded Blossom - Miscellaneous Fun set (both sentiments)
*Creative Memories - patterned paper
*Cuttlebug - D'vine Swirls embossing folder

I love this style of card, because it looks harder than it really is to make!  I think she'll like it :O)

Now head on over to see my super talented pal

Jaded Blossom Candy Slider

Hi Everybody!
It's happily my turn to share another Jaded Blossom project with you!  I made this candy slider card for a birthday treat, but it would work awsome for any occassion.  Here's how it turned out:

You'll need:

*Jaded Blossom = Miscellaneous Fun. and Flag Dies
*Art Philosophy Cricut cartridge
*sea green cardstock
*Echo Park patterned paper
*Stampin' Up! solid cardstock
 *ribbon

*Before scoring, lay your candy down to see where you will need to fold it.

*You will need to leave about 1/8" on both sides of the candy to allow it to be able to slide in and out.

*Before you adhere it closed, add your mat on the front, and do any stamping and embellishing at this point.  It's much easier to do it while it's completely flat!

*For mine, I added the cupcake, banner and bling.

*I took my flag die cuts using the Flag Dies, and folded them 2 times on each side so that the flag popped up in the middle.

*I also stamped above and below the patterned paper mat.

*Once you're ready to close it, remember to allow a little bit of overlap to make it easier to adhere.

*Punch a hole at the top, and thread your ribbon through both sides.

*Put your candy on top of the ribbon, and push the candy down into the slider.

*Tie your ribbon closed at the top.

*Adhere the solid cardstock piece to the back, and embellish.  This is where you can write a message :)

*Here's the final project!

*Here's how it looks sliding out.

This was super simple to make!  And it would be great for all ages.  I hope you liked it! I'd love to see some of you make this and share it on the Jaded Blossom Facebook page HERE, or on my Facebook page HERE

**Don't forget to enter March's monthly challenge over on the Jaded Blossom Blog**

TFL, and hope everyone has a chance to craft today :O)

Jaded Blossom Stamp Release Blog Hop!!!

Hi Everybody!
I'm so super excited to be a part of the Jaded Blossom design team, and to share this next release with you! Hopefully you just came from the super talented Raven. If not, please head on over to
Jaded Blossom so you can start from the beginning. You won't want to miss a thing!

Here's what I made with these awsome stamps:

For my project I used the Miscellaneous Fun, and Babies & Weddings stamps sets.
AND......
the new FLAG DIE (and it's 2 layers)!!!
AND......
the new paper straws!!

(Don't get distracted by those delicious eclairs!)

*To make my little banner, I took the larger flag die, and cut some DCWV paper from the Guy Stack.

*Then I used the smaller flag die to cut some Bazzil light blue paper for a coordinating top layer.

*Next, I cut the flags about 1" from the bottom and discarded the middle section.

*I took the Baby sentiment from the  Babies & Weddings stamps set, and colored the "B" and stamped it.  I did this for each letter of the word BABY.  This let me stamp one letter onto each banner piece.

*Finally, I took the the little baby feet (aren't those SO cute?!?!), from that same set, and the little star from the Miscellaneous Fun set and added some extra banner pieces.

*I used Kraft Brown Bakers Twine from Timeless Twine to hang all my pieces.

*I cut those shapes out with a small circle punch.

I think this would be so perfect for a baby shower!  And because these are paper straws, you can cut them in half, and be able to add this little banner to a layout about the special event!!

Sadly, some eclairs WERE harmed during this photo shoot :(  But on a happier note, all these fantastic supplies I used to make this banner are now available in the Jaded Blossom Store!!!

And the entire release package is on sale for $49.99!

****BLOG CANDY ALERT****

For hopping with us, you can win a Princess party Cricut cart, and a 6x6 echo park paper stack!

Prizes will be picked from EVERY blog, so if you comment on all the blogs in this hop, so you have more chances to win! Make sure you are also a follower of the Jaded Blossom blog :O)

Now head on over to see
