Hi Everybody!
Thank you for joining us on the Think Pink Blog Hop! You should have just come from Oh, Snap!'s blog. Wasn't her project amazing?!?! If you just happened to be visiting my blog today, and want to start at the beginning of the hop, just head on over to One By One The Flamingos Are Stealing My Sanity.
I am proud to be supporting such a great cause. Unfortunately someone I know got cancer a couple of years ago, and while it was not breast cancer, it definitely made me more aware of the disease. I'm happy to say that that person, while still dealing with the disease, is doing good. Also, let me apologize for this not being my best post. I came down with a bad cold just before the hop, and had made this card, but was intending to make another one with the saying "You're One in a Melon". I thought that would work better on this card, because to me anyone who has to overcome this disease has a lot of courage and is definitely one in a million :) But Thanks a Melon can work too, 'cause I know that I am VERY thankful everyday that I get with that person. So here's the card I made with my Pink Power:
*card base is 4 1/4" x 5 1/2"
*cardstock = Stampin' Up!, Joann's Kraft cardstock, scraps
*bubbles Cuttlebug embossing foler
*PK Princess face assortment (using StazOn Jet Black ink)
*Stampin' Up! chalk for cheeks
*Sakura white gel pen
*Stampin' Up! ribbon
I hope you liked it. I always think a little humor can always help. So your next stop on the hop is Gen’s Den. GASP! I almost forgot the second most important thing in this post, the blog candy!! Here's what you need to do to enter:
- Become a follower of my blog :o)
- Leave a comment on my blog for a chance to win a set of Cri-kit Gel pens. These are AWSOME to use with the Cricut. (If you would like to see how they work, check out this post. You can see how to load them, and also how to use the Cricut markers.) And notice the color is dark PINK!! SPECIAL OFFER FOR MY FOLLOWERS: Get a free set of swirl gel pens with any order!! Just put my blog name when they ask "How did you find us?". Even if you end up winning this set (your choice of color), you would definitely want to pick up another set 'cause there are a TON of color choices!
And don't forget the grand prize for the hop!
Sarah at http://pinkcricut.com/ has donated a wonderful 25 dollar gift certificate for her Pink By Design Stamps! To win the 25 dollar gift certificate, all you have to do is complete the hop and leave a comment on every blog EXCEPT number 12, Heartfelt Creations. On Tuesday, utilizing random.org, a blog number (1-17, with adjustments for skipping number 12) and then a comment number for that blog will be chosen.

I love the thanks a Melon card! We made Watermellon invitations for my daughter's birthday party, and when I told her we could make "thanks a melon" cards, she said I was nuts! LOL she is 7. I called her in to show her your cards, and she said "Oh melon like watermellon?" LOL Her party was in August, so it's a little late now! :)
