Be Thankful Blog Hop

Hi Everybody!
Welcome to the Be Thankful Blog Hop, hosted by our favorite Sarah at Pink Cricut.  Hopefully you just came from Little Paper Sprinkles and checked out her super cute project.

I was totally excited to do this hop.  It's easy to get down in the dumps, and forget how truly lucky we are to have what we have.  Here are a few of the things I am thankful for:

  1. My Husband.  I am such a crazy soul, loud, loving and impatient.  He is a quiet, smart, and dependable guy who helps keep me grounded.
  2. My kids.  I love them more than I thought I could love anything.  They are helping me to become a better person, and I can't imagine life without them.
  3. Being a stay-at-home mom.  I LOVE it, and even though sometimes I need to remind myself that I CHOSE to stay home with them I wouldn't have it any other way.
  4. My parents, and my little brother.  They help me SO much with my kids, and they love them like they were their own.
  5. Crafting.  This includes my blog, and all my Facebook friends.  This may sound weird to some of you putting this on my list, but this past year making new friends (including our host for this hop!!), and finally having enought courage in myself to post my projects has made crafting more than just a hobby to me.  I honestly believe it feeds a part of my soul that helps keep me happy and sane!
Ok, so now finally on to the project.  I wanted to make a Thankful Tree.  My idea was to have everyone take a leaf, and write down something they are thankful for BEFORE dinner.  This will make a pretty centerpiece for the table before dinner, and then reading everyone's leaves will be great while everyone is sitting there with those SUPER full tummy's!!  And since I had totally been wanting to make the 3-D tree from the Happy Hauntings cart, this worked out perfectly!  Here are the details:

*Happy Hauntings cart (tree cut @ 10.5")
*B is for Boy cart (leaf cut @ 3")
*Cosmo Cricket Paper
*Peachy Keen faces (Laffy Taffy, Everyday Assortment, Princess Face, Critter Faces)
*Pink By Design (sentiment)

*BLOG CANDY ALERT*
The "grand prize" for the hop is an All Wrapped Up cartridge!!  For my blog candy, I have a 8x8 paper pad by Me And My Big Idea, a package of Monograms also by MAMBI, and a pack of pop dots!  To enter:

*Leave a comment with what you are thankful for.

*You don't have to be a follower, but if you decide to become one, you will get an extra entry.  Just leave a separate comment letting me know you're a follower :o)

That's it! I hope you liked it. TFL, and now hop on over to my friend Jessica over at The Creative Stamper's Spot and see what she is thankful for! Here is the complete lineup:

  5. I too am thankful for being a stay-at-home mom. I once read about a survey given to 5th graders. They were asked "if you could have anything...what would it be"?
Top answer...that my mom was home when I got home from school.

I would say that I am beyond thankful that my nanny (grandma) is able to spend another year here with us she is 80 but still young at heart! Also that she is able to be here in Jersey with us for this holiday, she is from Florida!
