Cooking With Cricut Design Team Day!

Hi Everybody!
So happy I can finally say, it's Cooking With Cricut Design Team Day!  (Lol, sorry, when I was little I used to make my families birthday cards, and I ALWAYS wrote a little rhyming poem on the inside.)  This week the challenge is hearts and flowers.  The design team made some amazing projects to get you guys in the mood for some love projects!  And speaking of love….Don’t forget to be here THIS Saturday and Sunday when we share some extra special love and have our…

Sweet Shop Blog Hop!!  Just like candy makers and sweet bakers, the design team is hard at work producing some sweet, sweet paper-fections for your enjoyment this weekend!

Now onto my challenge project!  One of the hazzards of being a papercrafter is the collecting! I have collected quite a bit of kits.  I got a lot when I first started scrapping because they seemed the easiest way to get started.  But once I got my Cricut, the kits mostly collected dust.  I finally decided to break this one out.  This was a kit for an acrylic album.  Isn't it gorgeous?!?!  I just love the way acrylic looks, and the dimension it adds to projects.  I couldn't go without adding SOMETHING Cricut, so I cut a little tag from TBBM, and added it to one of the pages.  I'm sorry I can't give more details than that since I've had this kit for YEARS, and the company I bought it from sadly went out of business when the economy took its turn for the worse.  Here's some more looks at my project:

*And of course I had to peach-ify the cover!!

*View of the cover from the back.

*I'll use the little tag to add some important date info about the pictures I add.  Since the cover has smile, and the last page has giggles, I already know which pictures of my kids I will be adding :o)

So if you come across any acrylic, don't be afraid to try it!!  The one tip I would say is just don't forget that things have a backside!  So when you glue paper down on one side, make sure you glue one down on the other side to hide the adhesive.  Thanks for joining us again this week at Cooking With Cricut, and head on over there to join in on the challenge!!
