I was inspired by Martina Mcbride's beautiful ballad "Valentine". This was my wedding song. It's a beautiful song, but means a little more to me because my husband and I have such different taste in music, but we both loved this song! (He actually suggested it!!) I was inspired to create this wall/door hanging for Valentines Day.....

*Holiday Cakes cartridge = sentiment
*Celebrate with Flourish cartridge = cupid
*To punch out the hearts, I used a Creative Memories Heart punch with the Trust in Cupid stamp set from Jaded Blossom.
*I layered the pink swirl paper onto a red paper.
*Then I layered those onto a chipboard square.
*Next I took Barn Red Distress ink and went around the whole edge. I loved the softer look of the distressing, and different shades of red :)

Awwww, one of my favorite songs too (and Martina is one of my all-time favorite singers). What a fun decoration to celebrate the season of love - I'm a super fan of the little hearts - they remind me of heart candies. :)

Jim Brickman and this song sung by Martina McBride is one of my husband's and my favorites also. We have been very fortunate in seeing Jim Brickman several times and actually won tickets to have brunch with him before one of his shows. It was great!! Your door hanger is beautiful!!!

ReplyDeleteVery Pretty! I was just looking at the Holiday Cake cartridge today and wondering if it would be good to have. Seeing that it contributed to your project, I guess it is.
