Family Friday

Hi Everybody!
Thanks for joining me and my fantastic design team for another Family Friday!  Today the designers are going to show what their kids (or the youngest person they know) is thankful for.  First is my project, but then please click on the designers name to head on over to their blogs for all the details on their projects.  Thanks you guys for doing another amazing job this week!!

My project was done by my kids, but what they are thankful for will be the other page in what turned out to be a double page spread!  For this page, I traced each of my kids hands, with part of their arm.  I turned their arm into the bark for the tree, and the hands as leaves.  I jokingly told my husband we have enough kids to make a forest, LOL!  They are also in order, with my oldest having her hand starting from the left, and on down to even my 9 month old baby boy!!  I used the Graphically Speaking cart (with the jumble feature) for the title (it says Precious).  I used the Give a Hoot cart for that super cute owl :o)

Isn't my 9 month old's hand sooooooo cute?!?!

Rhonda

I grew gourds ages ago and put them down stairs hanging in my basement to dry out. So when I was thinking of how to do something different for what we are thankful for I decided to let my granddaughter paint all the gourds brown, because she loves to paint. Then went from there after they dryed. Used design calander the leaf cut. cut at 6 in (shift sept) then cut the wings at 3 in the same.

*hat cut at 3 in (november real size)
*george cart 3 in stars for feet, 1and 1/2 long ovals and 1 in hearts for beak
*after paint is dry, tie ribbon around neck first, then add hat, eyes beak, gobbler then last add the leafs for feathers
*side wings hold the signs each sign says something different, one says thankful you're not a turkey, thankful for hamthankful for chicken, thankful for fish, and for the baby turkey the sign says thankful Im too cute to eat!

This is a "I am thankful for..." holder. Everyone in our family will be required to insert at least 3 things into this box before Thanksgiving and then we will read them all during Thanksgiving dinner :) This will also include my mom, MIL and Grandma!

  3. Oh my goodness, I LOVE your turkey gourds. Could you please write me and let me know what cartridge you used to do the leaves and face. I love this. It would also be great to let everyone at your Thanksgiving write something they are thankful for and put on the sign. You have a wonderfully blessed Thanksgiving and Merry Christmas.
