Inking It Up Crazy Fall Design Team - Final Project & FINALLY a Gabby Abby Challenge!

Hi Everybody!
Well, today is a happy and sad day.  It's sad because this is my last DT project for Kassidy over at Inking It Up Crazy.  It has been SO fun being on her Fall Design Team.  I can't wait to see what her Winter Design Team will be creating!!  But it is a happy day, because I am so happy to show you the project I made!  I decided to make a Christmas decoration with a bit of a twist.  And since the challenge this week over at the Gabby Abby challenge is anything Christmas, I decided to also enter this for that challenge.  Gotta love that multi-tasking!!  Here's what I came up with:

Isn't he sooooooooo cute?!?!  Here are the written details:

*When It's Cold Outside (seasonal cart from last year)
*cut 3D snowflake @ 6"
*Grafix Clear Craft Plastic (I got mine at Michaels, and you can use the coupon!  They also used to have 12" x 12" size, and 8 1/2" x 11", but I didn't see the smaller size last time.)
*silver Stickles
*StazOn Jet Black Ink
*Peachy Keen Stamps - Everyday Assortment
*regular blade - depth = 6, pressure = max, speed = 4 or 5

************

So there you go, I hope you like it!  I will be making a bunch of these to hang all over my house.  These are a perfect low-budget, quick, but pretty way to get my house in the holiday mood!  Don't forget to check out all the things Kassidy has going on over at Inking It Up Crazy :O)

  4. This is beautiful!!!! I have been trying to come up with some ideas for snowflakes and I was worried about seeing the backs of a paper on some parts and not others. This is not only a practical way to fix that dilemma, but it's GORGEOUS! :)

  5. This is sooooo cute! I have a silly question though, did you actually cut the plastic on the cricut or did you cut a template than trace and cut onto the plastic? If you used your cricut for the actual plastic cutting do you use a chipboard housing and blade and what settings?
    Thanks!

  6. Thanks for such great comments everybody :O) @AmyJ, I actually cut the plastic on the Cricut. It's just like cutting with thick cardstock. I used my regular blade, had my blade depth at 6, and pressure at max. Your speed should probably be 4 or 5. Thanks for your question!
