Welcome to the Short and Sweet Blog Hop!!


 


Hi Everybody!
Thank you for joining me and 7 other fantabulously talented ladies for this Short and Sweet blog hop!  You should have just come from our amazing hop hostess Elizabeth over at 217 Creations.  If you didn't, head back over there to start from the beginning.  Wasn't her project GORGEOUS?!?  I was so honored when Elizabeth asked me to be in this hop since I have loved her projects so much!  Ok, so on to the project!  I decided to actually make my Valentine cards this year.  I didn't get to make my Christmas ones, so I'm gonna try with Valentines Day!  Here's what I came up with:

 
*Twinkle Toes cartridge
*cardstock = Stampin' Up!, Joanns, handmade/mulberry paper
*The card base is 4 1/4" x 5 1/2".
*dark pink mat 1/8" smaller
*mulberry mat about 1 1/2" x 2 1/2"

*Peachy Keen Stamps Retro Paper doll faces set 1 1/8" size
*Pink By Design Love Always set
*Stickles
*Love Language Cuttlebug embossing folder
*white ink pad
*red ink pad
*white gel pen
*silver gel pen


This card was very simple to put together. I added some glue dots in the middle of the mulberry paper so that the edges would kind of float up and add texture.



I thought this heart was perfect for Valentines!  And the retro face gave it that perfect, sexy look :o)  I used the white and silver gel pens to color the eyes.  I had to put Stickles on her lips!  I also added the dots of Stickles for that always needed touch of bling!


I ran a white ink pad over the tiny hearts from the embossing folder to give them a little pop!
Then I added a sentiment from Pink By Design on the front.........



And the inside.........
