It's Pink Tuesday! Pink Cricut Design Team Day!

Hi Everybody!
Today is my turn to post on the Pink By Design Stamps Blog.  I'm excited to share my project with you today :) Here's a little tip I have for you. Did you know that you are able to use the Cricut Cake cartridges with any of the Cricut machines? They are great for beginner Cricut users because the images are only two layers, but they will also work for advanced crafters as they can be embellished a lot or a little. I recently picked up the Best in the West stamp set, and Paisley background stamp from Pink By Design. So when I saw this cut on the Birthday Cakes cartridge, I knew these 3 things would go together perfectly! Here are the details for my card:

*Pink By Design = Best in the West stamp set, Paisley background stamp
*Kraft cardstock = Joanns
*all other cardstock from my stash
*Stampin' Up! watercolor crayons
*blender pen

*I stamped the Paisley background stamp on the dark blue with white ink to look like a bandana.

*I am still VERY new to coloring in image stamps, so I was happy with how this one turned out :)

*Taa-dahhh! Here is the final product.
*I forgot to take a picture of it, but I stamped "Howdy" on the inside.

I hope you like it, and will remember that the Cake carts are good for more than baked goods! Make sure to to check out my post HERE on the Pink By Design Stamps Blog to see the full tutorial on how to make this card :)  TFL!!

  1. Very cute!! I have the Martha Stewart Cake carts & I don't have a Cake Machine!! All of hers have all of her borders on them...so if you like her border punches its great because you can make them any size you need!

  2. Very cute card. I am afraid of the "whole coloring thing" myself - besides I don't need something else to purchase. :-)

I loved your first comment about the Martha Stewart Cake carts having the borders on them. I might have to check those out.
