Cooking With Cricut Home Decor Blog Hop

Hi Everybody!
Welcome to Paper Crafting World and Cooking With Cricut’s Home Décor Blog Hop! Our Design Teams are so excited to bring you a two-day hop that focuses on projects for your home – that’s right no cards or scrapbook layouts in this hop! You should have arrived here from visiting Jamie L. at Scrappin' 2 Baby Girls.  If you’ve joined us in mid-Hop and would like to check out all the other fantastic projects head on over Melinda’s Paper Crafting World and start at the beginning.

Back in October, I moved into a new and bigger house.  I have to say, it's been a little bit intimidating!  When I craft, I always use repositionable adhesive 'cause I am ALWAYS changing my mind about where I want to put things.  Decorating our house has been no different!  I wanted to decorate my mantle, so I used,  Square 1 , a printable, repositionable and removable adhesive-backed fabric.  It is SOOOO much easier to work with than vinyl!  Besides being able to reposition it, it doesn't tear like vinyl can.  Here are the details:

*Cricut Alphabet Cartridge - letters (welded together on my Gypsy)
*Square 1 = (printable, repositionable and removable

adhesive-backed fabric)
*Pink By Design = Dictionary Background
*Stampin' Up! = red ink

*First, I cut my phrase out of the Square 1 fabric.

*Then I stamped the dictionary background directly onto the fabric.

*I decided I wanted a shadow behind the letters.  Since Square 1 comes in white, I just took my red ink pad and applied it directly to the fabric.

*I layerd the white layer onto the red one.

*Taaaa-daaaa!  My new mantle!!

We hope you’ll link up your Home Décor project for a chance at winning one of our giveaways. One winner will be chosen by random draw and three others will be selected by the Design Team. Head on over to Cooking With Cricut for the guidelines and the link up.

Thanks for stopping by! Head on over and check out what
