Whatcha Been Doing This Summer Blog Hop!

Hi Everybody!
Welcome to the "Whatcha Been Doing This Summer" blog hop!  I'm so happy you could join me and my super talented Thankful Thursday Designers :O)  For this month's hop, my designers and I wanted to know what you have been doing this summer, and share some of the trouble of what we've been up to.  Here are my projects:

*I am lucky enough to get to teach a Papercrafting class.  It's so super fun, and I've had a total blast getting to know the ladies!  We recently finished a session, so I wanted to make them a little something to thank them for being in my class.

Here's what I used:
*Create a Critter Cricut cartridge - owl
*Jaded Blossom - sentiment stamp, Friendly Kisses stamp set
*Peachy Keen Animal Faces

*We've also spent some time outdoors this hot season.  My husband is a runner, and participated in his first mud run.  It's just what it sounds like.  They run a course with obstacles, including some mud pits!  Fun, but dirty :O)

*His team had an 80's theme, so we decided to make him a "Frankie" t-shirt.

*Square 1 has some iron on material (in addition to the adhesive fabric), and it was the perfect solution for my project!

*So totally awsome, and radical right?!?!?  Lol!  If you'd like to see the full post with video, and a picture of what this shirt looked like AFTER the mud run, click HERE. (This will open up in another window so you won't get de-railed in the hop!)

*I also taught a kids Papercrafting class for a little while this summer.  This is the 2nd year I've done it, and my two older girls and I really love it!  It's a great bonding experience :O)

*We made a bunch of different projects.  This one was door hangers for their rooms.  Here's what I used:

*Art Philosophy - door hanger
*Sesame Street Seasons Cricut cartridge - bug character
*Close to My Heart - letter stamps
*Peachy Keen - June Stamp of the Month (frog and turtle on the other side)

*It was really fun to see how the kids decorated their projects and how their personalities came out.

  6. So cute! I LOVE the owls and the doorhangers just gave me a great idea to do for my grandson's 2nd birthday party! (His theme is Mickey -- what better for the older ((4 and 5 years)) kids than making a doorhanger for their room?! I can cut the pieces, put them in baggies and then pop them into the favor bags. They can glue them at home!) :) TFS such great ideas!

  7. Jenny - What a fun summer you've been having! Love the little goodie bag. My husband is a runner too (biker, hiker... whatever he's in the for)... Loved the 80's theme. Like why didn't everybody do that? Because gag me with a spoon with the other team's themes. Like, totally so uncouth of them. (That was my best Valley Girl voice. Hope you enjoyed it.) Teaching that crafting class sounds like so much fun! Big hugs! :) Janis
